managed my first sweet aufstrich (dictonary suggest the english term spread but i quite like the word aufstrich)
for those who don‘t know: i‘m trying to cook aufstriche since i tasted some wonderful vegan ones this summer and as my nearest and dearest are well-known cooks or amazing extreme-bakers i needed something to specialize in.
1) cocos-banana-white beans (sweet)
ingridients: white beans, onions, salt, 1 banana, honey, grated coconut (or anyother grated nut), chocolate or cocoa (if you want it to be darker), cinemon, spicery. the amount depends on your taste and the amount of white beans (i used one third of 500g)
how to do it: put a few pieces of onion (i used half an onion for 500g white beans and took one third to do the sweet aufstrich) in hot oil until they are roasted. add the white beans and a little bit of salt. add a little bit of water every now and then to make sure it’s not sticking to the pot. add one banana (the more mature the better) and two big spoons of grated coconut.
then the fun part starts: you start adding different items (chocolate, cocoa, honey, cinemon, almonds, etc.) in small amounts untill you are satisified with the aufstrichs taste and sweetness. then you have to make sure that it’s not to liquid by simmering on a low flame. let it rest until it’s not hot anymore and out it in the fridge. Will stay eatable for a few days.

(the result wasn‘t extremly special but fair enough to be liked by the roomies, the topping is made of almond pieces)
2) white beans-carrots-green lentil (salty and spicey)
ingridients: white beans, salt, onion, two carrots, three spoons of green lentils, pepper, chili, marrocan spicery mix (Rasel Hanout)
how to do it: take two thirds of the white beans (see above) and add pieces of carrots (two) and the green lentil (three spoons), make sure there is enough water for the lentils (should look like a soup), i used a cup of water. start adding spicery like salt, pepper, chili, rasel hanout and everything else you like and/or have at home
